steellantis'Ram brand is canceling plans to produce 1500 pickup trucks, referring to the slow demand for electric vehicles.
A company spokesperson said in a statement using the industry for battery electric vehicles on Friday, “As the demand for full -shaped battery electric trucks in North America slows down, Stelon is re -evaluating its product strategy and will shut down the entire size BEV pickup.”
Stellats had already delayed the truck's projects twice, which was actually expected to be on sale by the end of 2024.
Ram said on Friday that he would still plan to launch an expansion range electric truck, equipped with an electric generator and gas engine. The truck is expected to come out next year.
The company said it would change the name of the extended range truck from “Ramcharger” to “Ram 1500 Review”.
This change came when Ram's CEO Tim Kansis, who was unstable with the automaker at the end of last year, launched an aggressive changing change for the brand.
The new Steilents CEO Antonio Felosa has been dialing some of the former CEO Carlos Taveer's actions and promised to make “profitable growth and the tough decisions needed to re -establish significantly better results” at the end of July.
The auto industry is dealing with the overall power vehicles to deal with the expected adoption. The Trump administration is also seeking to open a number of former presidents of the former president, Biden, who remove the auto industry from gas -powered internal combustion engines and cancel tax credit for buying EVs.
