Dear Saster: What slides should be in every VC pitch deck?
This is the structure I want to see in a pitch deck – it is easy, clear and designed to be excited without wasting time. Each slide should have a goal, and the first few audiences are important to bend:
1. The title slide
Keep it clean – the company's name, tagline, and a killer state or tagline that gets attention. For example, ” #1 AI platform for customer success.”
2. The problem
What is the pain? Be specific and based on data. Show why this problem is quick and valuable.
3. Solution
How are you solving it? Keep it comprehensive and compelled. A visual or demo screenshot can help here.
4. Why now?
Time is everything. Show why this is the best moment for your solution. For example, “Consumer success is increasing by 40 % YOY in adoption of AI.”
5. Market opportunity (TAM/SAM/SOM)
Break your Tom, Sam, and Som with clear mathematics. Tie it directly to your pricing model and the ICP. Investors want to see how big it can be and how realistic your assumptions are (8).
6. Products
Show the product practically. Use screenshots, mockups, or a short demo video. Highlight the one that makes it unique.
7. Krishna
If you have revenue, consumers, or growth measurements, this is the place where you shine. Be specific – “$ 1M Arr, rising 20 % of the mother” is much more compelling than vague claims.
8. Business model
How do you make money? Show the initial symbols of your pricing, ACV, and strong unit economics (eg, CAC, LTV).
9. The market strategy to go
How are you getting users? Highlight your sales motion (PLG, Enterprise Sales, etc.) and any initial win.
10. Competition
Recognize your rivals and show how different you are. Be honest and self-aware-you look better. Add the top 8-10 competitors and position yourself clearly.
11. Team
Why are you team to win? Highlight the relevant experience and any important fare you have made or intended to create.
12. financial
For the next 12-24 months, keep it high-level income, burning rate and estimates. Do not control it.
13 Ask
Stay straight How much are you picking up, and what will you get with it? For example, “We're collecting $ 3M 3M to scaling from M 1M to 5m Arr in 18 months.”
14. ** Slide closing **
Eliminate your logo, tagline, and contact information. Make it easy for investors to follow.
Key points:
As for, as. ** The first slide sells contract**: Your first slide should be so good that it can sell itself to the entire company.
As for, as. ** Keep it short enough – but full **: 15-20 slides maximum. If you can't tell the story in this place, you are complying it more and more.
– **More data than Flaf **: Investors want numbers, not vague promises. Backup each claim with data.
