The most active global start -up investors were widely engaged in the second quarter of 2025, which was led by backing and further rounds and invested widely in deals.

Overall, the 10 of the 10 most active venture investors made more deals in Q2, compared to Q2, compared to each crunch base data. Detto for 80 % of the top 10 lead investors through Dell's count, as well as the majority of investors costing Q2.

However, while many large companies have promoted their investment activity, we looked behind a Q1 record set. The Softbank, which supported Open's unprecedented Billion 40 billion financing at the end of March, did not join the ranking of any active or most spending investors for Q2.

Below, we drill in more detail in the ranking of active investors, given the highest venture investors, the largest spending and most seed helpers.

    Lead venture investor

We will start with lead investors, as it provides a snapshot of busy dealmakers who have also given a lot of money to work in every age.

For Q2, Excel and General Catalists were most active with this matriculation with 20 and 16 lead rounds respectively.

Many of these deals were also a jumbo -sized investment. For example, Excel led Million 100 million more rounds, which includes a series of $ 260 million for Generative AI Unicorine troubles and a series of $ 260 million for Space Tech Startup Troomly.

General Catalist was also busy, who led the 100 million and more deals to 100 million and more. Its biggest investment was $ 1 billion for writing and production assistant Grammry.

The remaining five five – insight partners, Anderson Horwiots and Basmer Venture Partners – were not far behind. Below, we ranked them in the list of 21 most active lead investors for the quarter.

    Spend most investors

Although Excel and General Catalists have led the most deals, they did not spend most of the money in Q2.

This title goes to Meta for the same contract: as part of the strategic and financial contract, its $ 14.3 billion investment for Scale AI, which was also included in the social media giant by founder Alexander Wang.

After the meta, the next most spending founder was the Fund and the Anderson Horwiots. For the founders, the rating was mostly due to a $ 2.5 billion round, leading to the defensive tech Unicorn Andrew. For Anderson, the biggest era was the financing of $ 2 billion seeds, which helped the lab of thinking machines.

After that, Greenux came, which led to a $ 2 billion round of Safe Sprintilins in April.

    Busiest venture deale makers

Although some venture investors focus their stake on a few cycles, others spread their money into a high number of deals.

In this latter group, the Paramashi standout is a Combantinator. Although the seeds are known as the accelerator, it also participates in the post -round rounds of incubated companies, usually as non -lead investors.

Which translates into many deals. For Q2, the Y -Combinator participated in 45 post seed financing, which is mostly in any investor. The line -up included large rounds for high profile companies, including HR platforms Rippling and AI Robotics Startup Gaco Robotics.

After the Y -Combinator, Dell was the second most active by counting, General Catalist, who participated in Q2 as a lead or non -lead investor. The third position was Excel, with 31 deals, followed by Khosla Ventures, 30.

Below, we ranked investors after 22 most active posts of the quarter by counting of contract.

    Seed investor

The seed stage investors were also busy in Q2, with familiar names.

The Y Combinator landed on the top slot, with an investment of 50 seeds. The next was an antler, with 33 seed deals.

For a wider view, the following round we have ranked 18 highly active global seed deale deals based on the round.

It should be noted that reporting of seed investment is different from other stages and can affect the counting of the contract. For one, the Excellants usually report investment in the beaches, which leads to high -number of high -ranking numbers from a quarter to a quarter. In addition, the seed stage companies and supporters are often stealthy and is known for delaying new financing reports.

    Overall: busy times, large checks

When we examine their ranking of highly active and most expensive investors for the quarter, the widespread path looks very clear. Overall, these are rapid times for startup bakers, which is evidenced by high contracts as well as individual rounds of large tickets.

Looking forward, we are interested in knowing whether a pickup in the IPO activity is translated into more deals with development investors and major pre -IPO rounds. Given that US firms are dominated by the list of active investors, it will be interesting to see more international representation in its ranks.
